In Which I Am Recuperating

I am recuperating and my one doctor says that I will not need another surgery. Now it is a matter of waiting to hear what the tests say about the lymph node that has been removed and I can put all of this behind me. This has been a manic week of scary news followed by good news, surgeries followed by the news of no more surgeries, and a lot of hurry up and waiting. I am still mostly in bed, mostly asleep, mostly a blurr which is perhaps just as well. This has been a crazy week and when I say I've had a crazy week it is time to sit up and take notice. Which is why I am going to go back to my bed.

Aries Horoscope for week of March 27, 2008

It's a good time to start preparing for the shocks that will arrive when the Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012. Some measures to consider: Learn how to use a gun, live off the grid, and gather edible plants that grow in the wild. APRIL FOOL! Everything I jut said was a histrionic lie. Here's my real message: The period leading up to the winter solstice in 2012, as well as that day itself, will bring no more than the usual rate of breakdowns and breakthroughs that has characterized the last two decades. Of course, that's still more novelty per year than previous generations experienced in a lifetime. But you've become pretty good at adapting, haven't you? This week I suggest you expand your mind even further about the massive transformations we're in the midst of, and think about how you can become even more skilled at constantly changing.

In Which I Won't Be ARound For a While

In 1999 I found a lump which led to a surgery. Nearly ten years later history repeats itself. Tomorrow morning I will leave the house sometime around 8am and I will be having surgery sometime around 11am. I should be home in the afternoon but it will be a few days before I fully recover. The location of the lump, which is merely a lymph node gone bad, is sort of where my ovaries are, in the crease where my thigh meets my lower abdomen. Walking, standing, sitting and rising will all be a little uncomfortable. Nearly ten years ago it was five days before I felt almost 100% myself. Of course, I was younger then and my body may not heal as quickly. I will be using Reiki to help facilitate the healing process. Assuming all goes well and all of the release forms I signed in the event of post-surgical complications are irrelevant, I should be back online Friday.
